Listeria??

Ugh, I am freaking out.. I am high risk and always worried. Six weeks along and I ate some Mexican store bought tres leches my nanny brought. All I can think about is the condensed milk.. even if it WERE from Mexico.. it would still be from a can right.. is it safe!?!

I would think it would be. If it's from a can it's probably pasteurized. Also, I just read a statistic today. Around 200 pregnant women get sick with listeria every year in the u.s. So out of the 4 million pregnancies every year, there's a .0005% chance of getting it. AND it's pretty rare for baby to get it through the placenta even if you have it. Try to be more careful for sure, but hopefully that helped a little :)
