Wedding or no?

Adrianna
Ladies, do you think it would be stupid if my fiancé and I got married at the court house? I've never really been one to want a big wedding. We've been engaged for a year in January. We had a date set for March 4, 2017 but ended up having to push it back to November 12, 2017. (Family issues) I'm just so ready to say "I Do" to my man. I'm so ready to be his wife and take his last name. I just really don't want to try and plan a wedding on top of us trying to get new vehicles and buy our first home. I have a huge family as it is, and he has four families. (His parents are divorced and both remarried.) I don't associate with my dad, and my mom can't pay for my wedding on her own. Therefore, if we have a wedding we will have to pay for everything. Which isn't a problem, I just really don't want my mom feeling down because she couldn't help. My mawmaw told me "you'll be just as married as anyone else, AND you will have more money in your pocket for other things." Her and my pawpaw had a small wedding, so she never really understood why people had such big weddings when it was all over in a matter of 20 minutes and then you went to the reception. Haha but my question is has anyone on here just gotten married at their court house or something like that? If so did you regret it? I'm just trying to make a big decision and I need some advice.
