I'm about 11 weeks pregnant with my second child and about a week ago I suddenly had this god awful pain in the top of my abdomen into my chest, I honestly though I was having a heart attack as I could hardly move from the pain- i quickly called my mom and she rushed over and said it was severe heartburn and that she's had it this badly before- she told me to make myself sick and I would fell better, well that was easy because the pain was so bad that the second I put my finger in my throat I was getting sick- the pain went away but then returned a few moments later, not as severe- took a few runs and within 15 minutes it subsides, this was after having some fries that I made up in the oven, maybe an hour or so later... then a few days pass and I have an oriental chicken salad from applebees and a few boneless wings- I had my last bite probably around 730/8- went to bed and at 1145 I was woken up with the same intense pain in my chest, made myself sick and it went away and came back again and then subsided eventually all in all this was probably about 2 hours of pain. I didn't notice any pain particularly in my right side, occasionally my upper back would burn but never my shoulder... of course I know the only way to truly know is to have an X-ray but after doing some research I thought that heartburn had similar symptoms to a gallbladder attack-- my midwife started me on zantac yesterday for heartburn and I've been ok the past few days, I'm just curious other people opinions on this? Does it sound like heartburn or more like my gallbladder? I'm very anxious... thanks in advance!
