So last Thursday I woke up with swollen labia and texted my OBGYN (she's also my boss- I'm her Medical asst) and she said we'd take a peak to make sure it wasn't an infection- so later that day she said everything looked normal but she saw some yeast (the swelling had gone down) she prescribed me diflucan- which I know has very mixed reviews in pregnancy..I took it Thursday night and never really felt better. I mentioned it to her yesterday and she said it can be difficult to get rid of yeast infections in pregnancy and we could do terazole rx cream or monistat. I got monistat 7 and used it last night and woke up this morning will swollen labia again. She did say the swelling could be from the yeast infection but she also said swelling down there is very very common in pregnancy with how much blood is in the area. I just wanted some input or advice if anyone else has had something similar. I'm 17+3 today. Thanks!
