can your doctor choose where you deliver ?

I know doctor can only deliver at specific hospitals, but my doctor is able to delivery at 2 hospitals and she told me she didn't like one of them and that she doesn't want to deliver my baby there. If she legally can deliver there than isn't it my choice ?

It is your choice but if your doc prefers one hospital over the other I would be thinking about why you want to deliver at the hospital your doc doesn't like...

I'm not sure about whether or not it's legal, but I have a similar situation I thought I'd share that may help. My doctor was able to deliver at two hospitals as well & told me he preferred one way over the other and wanted me to go to that certain one. I originally wanted the other but I trusted his judgment & went to the one he preferred and had an amazing delivery and experience. If I didn't trust my doctor as much as I did I may have just went where I wanted to go, like I did with my first pregnancy. With my first I drove to the closest hospital and never called my doctor so they never came. That may also be an option!

They can choose which one they deliver at my doctor has privileges at two sistering hospitals one 5min up the street from me the other 30min. Both times I went into labor i was sent to the 30 min hospital.

Yes it's all ur choice I have 4 hospitals to pick from but only one hospital my doctor and her practice works with i can choose any hospital but If I go to any hospital she or her other doctor's arnt at I won't have them to deliver but it's ur choice she can't turn u down because she doesn't like a hospital that she fucking is associated with that's not right

My Dr has privileges at 3 different hospitals. We can pick whichever one we want. Whatever dr from the practice that is on call will be the one to deliver the baby.

Not necessarily but you do have to choose a hospital or center that your doctor has privileges at. It's a licensing thing/legality that's out of their control.

I'm sure you can go to whichever hospital you choose, but it might be that your doctor won't be there for the delivery and you will end up with a random on call doctor. Your doctor doesn't want to go there for a reason.

My ob only delivers at the hospital their attached to.  But thankfully for me its the best women's and children's hospital in the state.
