Is it too early to test??

AF is due on 12/27, this is our third month trying. I told myself I would not test early this month because I'm afraid of being disappointed. However I'm very anxious to test, because if it is a BFP I want to surprise my husband on Christmas day🤗😆 What do you guys think, is it too early or should I go for it? If so which test is most accurate? I have used first response the last two times
