full or empty bladder for sonograms?

Going to do a gender scan today. Is it best to have a full or empty bladder??

It really doesn't matter. If it did they'd tell you. So don't worry about it

My ultrasound tech said to come in with a full bladder every time just in case and if we don't need it full that's an easy fix.

Your supposed to have a full bladder. At my last US I asked the technician why she said it helps give them a better indication of the size of your uterus in comparison to a full bladder. So if you want the most accurate results for your US have a  bladder.

I never had to follow instructions before an ultrasound, so I guess it didn't matter for mine but If they didn't tell you, it shouldn't matter

Have your bladder full because they also need to measure the length of your cervix closed.
