We came home coughing and hacking I wake up this morning and we can smell it on each other​s clothes and hair.... So we are yet agian going to make our family and friends basically shower in before they hold our kid my oldest used to wheeze after being held by a smoker...

Showering is a bit much in my opinion, but changing a shirt or wearing a jacket that stays outside and away from the baby as well as washing their hands seems like a good enough plan to me.

I would like to say yes, but my dad smokes and if i try to make him shower or change just to hold my baby, he would laugh at me and just grab my baby haha. As long as he isnt immediately smoking its whatever

My husbands family smoke. It's kind of hard to go to someone else's house and the them what to do, but we wash babys hands, face and change into fresh clothes/bottle/blankie after they hold.

My smoker friends wash their hands, and my father even has a "baby shirt" he wears that he doesn't smoke in. Showering is way excessive though.

They should wash hands after, just like my family did. When they visited they smoked outside. But when I will go visit them I know my mom will smoke inside, she always keeps the window open so you can't really smell the smoke and she airs the room out properly, but I won't let my girl sit there when she lights up. I will put her in different room. I can't send my mom outside from her own house, can I 🙄 and asking her to take a shower would be more than ridiculous.

I wouldn't go to that extreme, but I would tell them that you wont be going to their house, they must come to yours, and they can't smoke on their way or there. And if they smell like smoke, they can't  hold baby. 
Just being on furniture or in a home that is a smoking home is not good for anyone. The nicotine is in the walls, furniture, etc,
