weird spotting?

about two weeks ago, I stopped my birth control, bled for a week and started my new pack the following sunday. I had sex on the 24th and he finished inside, I took my birth control that day but I didn't have my pack with me so I didn't take it on the 25th. I am spotting today (26th) and having mild cramps. Why would this be happening?
