Mall date??

So I asked my fiance if we could go on a date before I have to leave again and he said yes and suggested we go to a mall (this one in particular doesn't have anything for couples) I mean I'm happy just spending time with him but I was hoping for something more romantic since we only get to see each other one month out of the year, how do I tell him that without sounding ungrateful or like I want him to spend a ton of money? I feel bitchy for making this post but he kinda made me feel like he's not interested in going on a date 😳
