*SENSITIVE TOPIC*
I heard a conversation today on the bus. I put sensitive as it may upset some people.
A lady commented and said that she doesnt agree with women who have IVF. The lady next to her said why, her response was 'because not everyone who has kids deserves them, and having a child isn't a right, it's a privalige'
The look on the other woman's face was shock. So me being me decided to put my day in.
I asked the lady to explain, she said that she knew someone who had IVF and it was a success, the lady had the child up til it was 3 and she developed cancer and unfortunately passed away, so the child had to end up with another parent (she was a single mother). To which she said it was a 'waste of treatment and the child had to get use to another mother' 🙄
Then she went on to say that there are so many children out there who need to be adopted, but instead of that people seem to want to use thousands of pounds worth of treatment.
I do understand that there are a lot of children who need to be adopted and waited a long time, but in my opinion there are some people who want to go through the pregnancy stage and experience life as a mother from the beginning. People can have their own child and adopt if they want to. I hope to adopt in the future once I've got everything In place. But to say what she did I think was a little insensitive
