cancer treatment?

if your child was diagnosed with cancer, would you treat them or not and how would you treat them?

Although it might not be legal where you live, CBD oil extracted from marijuana plants works really well. After all, chemo was discovered through mustard gassing... but CBD oil doesn't get them high and has none of the side effects. It's at least worth looking into, it also treats epilepsy and a number of diseases

It would depend on whether it was terminal or not and how much time he had left. For example if he was dying of aggressive brain cancer with no more than 3 months to live I'd definitely err towards letting him die without going through the trauma of chemo etc. But if it was a more survivable cancer with better odds I'd definitely go for the chemo.

I think if I was actually in the position of having a child with cancer my views may change though, I don't know. But what I do know is that IMO, 'natural' methods are as good as doing nothing unless you're doing them in conjunction with medical treatments just in case or whatever.

The only time I wouldn't do treatment would be if it would just prolong their suffering. I'd rather have a couple good months left then a few months/a year of them being in pain. But if they're old enough to decide for themselves (like, 15+) then I'd let them decide if it was terminal and chemo/radiation would only give them a little more time.

Both my dad and father in law had chemo, their health detoriated and they died.
I don't know the pass rate of chemo, but if there's a chance of my child surviving, I ll take the chance.

I'd do chemo for my child (hopefully never have to make that decision) but I think medically it's a huge advancement. I'd want to do anything I can to help save my child even if that may be selfish. However, if there was zero chance and the cancer was terminal then I wouldn't and would spend the rest of my time making my child happy.

I'd do anything the doctors thought would make him better. My child is worth more than my pride of doing things naturally. Shit you best believe I'd be first in line for any treatment they thought would keep him alive.

It would depend on the prognosis really, but 9 times out of 10 I would treat it. While cancer treatments can be and are VERY harsh on the patient, I've seen what cancer does too. I've watched people have their bodies overrun with cancer. They were miserable and in major pain. Unable to take care of themselves or even wipe their own ass. I can't imagine just letting my child go through that without a fight. I would do everything in my power to keep it from happening.
