How to dress summer newborn.

I'll be my having my baby end of May early June, I live in Colorado so our weather will still be pretty bipolar around that time. But what kind of clothes should I be looking for? I know newborns need to stay warm as there skin is a little more sensitive around that time, but would short sleeve onesies work? Or should I still do long sleeve?
