Miscarriage

I went to the doctor for an ultrasound monday, I was supposed to be 8 weeks and 3 days. But I was still measuring 5 weeks and 3 days. So, tuesday at 4 I started having severe cramping, I passed the gestational sac, and a lot of tissues. I had an ultrasound done today and there is still either some blood clots or more tissue that needs to be passed. They gave me methergine to take 3 pills a day for 7 days. Has anyone else took this? My doctor is trying to get me out of having to have a D&C surgery.
