ttc with ovarian cyst/ PCOS; after mirena removal
Good morning!
So, I had my daughter in 2009; and in 2011, I decided to get the mirena, since it was a "convienent birth control for 5 years", and wait until she was 7 to have another child.. I was fine with the mirena for a while, then I kept having pains, so I got it removed last year. At first they couldn't find it, so they had to do an ultrasound to find and remove it. At that time they noticed a cyst, or multiple cysts, congruent with pcos.
The dr didn't speak much of it just basically said everyone gets it..
After a few months, my period still wasn't regular, and the pain didn't go away; so I went back, and they gave me birth control pills, to regulate my period 🙄
I was engaged at the time and was trying to conceive, so I didn't understand why I had to take the pills..
I got married on June 9, and have still been trying to conceive, pain continued even during sex 😓 so I kept going back to the drs, they ordered a bunch of tests and so on, and still no treatment!!
On my husbands birthday, Dec. 10th, my pain was so bad, it was like labor pains!! I went to the er the next day. They couldn't do much to help, just gave me a pregnancy test after I told them I wasn't pregnant 😡 so I left.
I looked up my chart from my last ultrasound, and it said that the cyst , part of it was solid!, and that it needed to be checked again (in August) no one told me this, or scheduled the appointment, and I also felt that I shouldn't be going through excruciating pain if I kept going to the dr with my concerns, and I never received treatment; so I called the office and asked to speak with the manager.
I explained my concerns, and she said she'd get in touch with the dr; I had concerns about my care over the past 2 years with various drs in her office, not this new one she wanted me to see.. but I saw this dr, and she says she needs to do surgery to remove the cyst, which could also mean taking my ovary and Fallopian tube!!
I HAVE BEEN GOING TO MY DOCTOR TO CONCEIVE, I did every thing and every test they told me to do, they didn't listen to my concerns about the cyst and pcos, and now; I get to lose my ovary?! This is the opposite of trying to conceive! This surgery is going to jack everything up and make it even harder to get pregnant! And! It might not even take my pain away!!
I have scheduled for a second opinion.
The coordinator of this office was imcompassionate, rude, never even apologized!
I called the hospital that they are with, but they say that they are not affiliated with them anymore!
Everyone is throwing their hands in the air, not taking accountablility for anything!
I pulled my medical records, to do more research, and I found someone else's test results mixed in with mine.. HIPPA VIOLATION??
I've seen that these cysts and pcos could be effects of the mirena. (Lawsuits)
The drs failed to listen and treat my concerns (negligence?)
Has anyone had these cyst/pcos and were still able to conceive?
The drs don't give much info on these things, so I've done my own research, and am currently trying to treat this naturally! Hopefully it restores my ovaries, and we can get pregnant soon!!!
