How old do you have to be to get a piercing? I want to either get a nose piercing or a tongue piercing. Any tips on how to care for them after? I've heard people say that you want to get plastic balls for a tongue piercing. But what about nose piercings?

Most places I've been you have to be 18 or have parent or gardian Permission. I've had my nose pierced and I'd say it's a good first piercing, it's pretty easy to keep clean and gives you an idea of whether you want holes perminently in your face. I don't mean that negatively. I had a Monroe piercing and I had to take it out for a job and now I have a permanent scar where it was and I get self conscious about it sometimes. It's not huge but it's there. I've had my nose pierced twice and have no scars from it. I don't recommend going anywhere that doesn't ask for an ID to prove your age bc sometimes places like that aren't good places and you can come out with a botched piercing. The piercer should let you know all your cleaning requirements as soon as it's done. If you get any facial piercing I recommend sea salt spray. Amazing stuff. Don't know about using it on a tonge piercing tho.

I was a freshman in high school (14 years old) when I first got my nose pierced. (I live in TX btw) it's different in each state so you'd have to look into it & do your own research.

depends on where u live. where i live girls where getting piercings in the 8th grade. But if its a reputable shop they'd require parental consent if you're under the age of 18.

Some you have to be 16. Piercings that are sexual or more medically dangerous like nipples, clit (anything privet), septum, tongue (anything with the mouth I think), eyebrow. You need to be 18 or have an adult sign.
