Miss Milas Birth Story❤

I never thought I would be a premie mom❤ My water broke at noon yesterday and by 2 I was having contractions and dilated to one centimeter. Within the hour it took to drive me to Another hospital with a NICU I was in active labor and by 4 after they had all the questions asked and the doctor came in I was dilated to four. Not gonna lie they all thought there was no way I was larger than two and I was super discouraged that I was asking for relief. He even said they might have to do an IV because he doubted I was in active labor and was probably way too early for an epidural. Turns out I was dilated to four. 100% effaced and at 0 station. Definitely in active labor and They sent the anesthesiologist over. By like 5:15 the epidural was in and I felt SO much better lol. I couldn't even feel the contractions but could still move my legs even though they were heavy. My husbands parents and sister got there as well as a lady that I lived with from sixteen to eighteen. We honestly just all hung out and were told it would probably be midnight before I needed to push. She came in at seven thirty and I mentioned I could feel pressure toward my butt bones and she checked me and I was nine and a half lol. I sat there stunned when she said that😂 We waited until 8:20 to feel constant pressure and started pushing. Pushing was frustrating because I was making slow progress. I know I have strong pelvic muscles and the doctor thought maybe I needed to be in more pain to push harder because I was doing it right. I pushed until 10:15 when the doctor walked in and started talking and conversing and watching me a bit and I was so over it lol. I could feel all the pain by that point and I pushed her head out before he even got his gloves on. My husband got to help deliver her after he turned her shoulders and I couldn't help but push and she was out at 10:17(: it was amazing to have her on me and her poor head and face were and are still so smashed. Turns out she was face up which makes it way harder to push out lol. It all made much more sense but I only have a first degree tear and idk how many stitches. The stitches weren't fun lol but super quick. Since then I've felt really good(: I feel like I've done five days of leg workouts lol and when I pump I definitely feel cramping but everything seems SO easy compared to contractions. Six hours of active labor and two hours of pushing seems forever but it was SO fast and even the doctors and nurses were stunned. Especially for a first labor. It would have been faster had she been in the right position but she got here(: she may have bowed legs but they might be that way because of her position in the womb. I was really scared something was wrong because of her nose being smashed and head being so bruised and coned in the front and her feet but they keep saying she's totally normal except possibly her feet because those take much longer to see if they are bowed or will correct from positioning. Her breathing was okay for 34 weeks at first but she is still working really hard to breathe so they are keeping her on machines and checking her blood because she had blood in her lungs. But she's perfect and most things are typical for such a premie. ❤❤❤ she has changed my life in the most unreal and unimaginable way❤
