HELP!!!

Ok. First i started to take birth control pills this month at my pill #20 i started spotting for the next 8 days. This spotting was strange sometimes red as a period and other times brown and sticky... In that period i had sex without protection i talk with my doctor i he told me that the first month is not 100% safe and that he always givea the advice of use condoms, so I totally freaked out and i took the emergency pills (option 2) after that my birth control pills finished 2 days ago. and now I'm anxious to have my period but i dont know if .... 1) that weird spotting that i had was my period 2) the emergency pills are descontroling all my body.  Please give me your opinion!!! Ps. Sorry for the spelling, grammar, english mistakes im not an english speaker hope you at least can understand. :)
