Is it normal to feel pain during sex?

I've been with my couple for 7 months now, we're both pretty busy so we have sex once a week or every 2 weeks, but when we do it, we never never never have sex for less then 4 hours, sometimes it might take up to 6 hours of course we have breaks in between, at first when I'm really into it, it doesn't hurt at all, but after 3 hours of doing it, I just can't take it anymore, I don't usually say anything because I want him to enjoy, last week I was in pain and he noticed it, he told me that if I'm not having pleasure he won't as well, so at this point I don't know what to tell him, when his ready for round 3 I could just easily do something else...
