new year hobby

Husband and I were talking about some resolutions that need to take place with BB #2 on the way. Obviously we'll have our hands full come July but he says he'd like to find a productive hobby in the mean time since rn his downtime consists of computer/video games that aren't conducive to a very healthy lifestyle. Does anyone have any ideas as to what new hobby he/we can take up? What do your men do for R&R? We live in Southern California.
