Subchorionic hemorrhage?

I ended up in the ER a week and two days ago with a lot of bleeding. I was told I had a subchorionic hemorrhage. My question is has anyone else ever had one and how long did you spot/bleed for? I am going to be switching doctors this week as mine is just not available and isn't very attentive. I am so worried :(

I know bleeding/spotting is so scary when it comes to pregnancy. But a SCH bleed should clear up on its own it doesn't pose a risk to baby. The bleeding can vary, some women bleed only a few days while others spot their whole pregnancy. It can also come and go. Rest as much as you can and I'm not sure what your doc said about sex but hold off till the bleeding goes away if you're worried. And if for any reason you have concerns, listen to your gut and call the doc!

I had one at 8 weeks and was horrified! My doctor told me it was due to part of my placenta detaching and we would monitor it. I ended up bleeding for a week and it stopped. I am now 37w2d with a baby boy!!

I had one in my first pregnancy around 7 weeks. It was bigger than baby so I was told baby could be washed out with the blood. I bled period like for a week, then it tapered off. Went back at little over 8 weeks and it was almost completely gone.
Said baby is now 14 months old and healthy as can be!

I've bleeding on and off since December 23rd (January 1st now) I've been to the maternity assessment unit three times for big bleeds in that time but mostly it's just intermittent spotting now. Apparently no two SCHs are the same - some women bleed for a couple of days some continue on and off for months!

I had a SH with my first. Don't worry yourself too much. Take it easy for two weeks or so. It should work itself out.:)

I had one at 7 weeks. I had some spotting two days before but took it as pregnancy spotting then when I work up in the morning I had bleeding so went tithe ER. That's what they found and said it was a threaten miscarriage at that point. So I had to be on bed rest for a week. But my blood work and the baby's heart were fine. I bleed/spotted all that day and passed a few small clots is what it looked like. So I was almost sure I wasn't going to carry through. But like I said it stopped that day, I haven't had any issue since and I'm currently 12w 3d!

Did they tell you how big? I had one at 9 weeks and I bled for 2 days..... it just finally went away last week. Some women bleed for longer than others. I hope yours clears up! I know it can be really stressful.
