We usually get at least $2-3k back every year for tax refunds. We were really relying on our refund to help build our savings before baby girl comes in April. My work screwed me out of short term disability so neither of us will be getting paychecks while on leave unless we use all of our PTO which would only cover a couple weeks. My poor husband has been busting his ass the past six months working tons of overtime and picking up extra details and court time. Apparently he made too much extra and it put us into a higher tax bracket and now we are going to OWE $2.5k in taxes. Basically all of his hard work was for nothing and we are going to waste all of the extra money he made and not get the refund we were relying on. 😡😡😡😡
