does anyone else's baby demand things?

When my son is sleepy he either wants to be hummed to sleep or sung to sleep. He will not sleep until you sing or hum to him or will not sleep if you do the wrong one. He will sort of Hum to you if he wants you to him to him or he will talk into your shoulder if he wants you to sing to him. If he wants to eat he'll yell something that sounds like momma. Does anyone else's kid do this?
