crib transition?

At 4.5 months she's still in the rock n
 play next to our bed. I'm terrified that I let her sleep in it for too long and now she will hate the flat crib 😱 any pointers?

Answer

Try putting her in the crib at random times throughout the day to get her acclimated to the mattress and her surroundings.
 I did this with our son from day 1 and he transitioned from the rock and play to the crib in his own room without any issue at 8 weeks.  It's good to do when you want to clean, fold laundry or vacuum too!

We rolled up a beach towel, made it into a U and put it under the sheet so that our daughter could still feel cuddled. We put her head at the curve part. So far she is doing really well with it like that. This is week 2 of her being out of the rock n play.

Mine is just a week or so younger than yours and we are still sleeping all times in the RNP. This is the first week being cared for outside our home, so naps from now on hopefully will be on a flat surface. My baby takes significantly shorter sleeping spurts in the crib to, but I think it is just something we have to deal with for a couple weeks while they get used to it. Start going to bed at 7pm, we are in for a rough few weeks!!

Honestly I was super worried about that too! I freaked myself out thinking he transition would be rough! Mine hardly noticed at all. After 1-2 days he was back sleeping his normal amount!

They sell a crib wedge at babies r us for about $15. I used it to transition both my babies feom the rock n play!

Where does she sleep for naps? I would transition her day time naps first. Also lay her in tje crib while she is still awake with you by its side so she knows that ots a safe place.

We put a pillow under one side of mattress to give angel like the rock in play . Our little guy slept in his rock and play for first two months and now has been sleeping in his crib ever since !
