If you want to swallow it, then just swallow it. It's already in your mouth, you might as well swallow it to get it out faster. 
I swallow 9 times out of 10. Sometimes it's because I'm in the mood for it and sometimes it's because I want it out of my mouth and there isn't anything to spit in nearby.
