Hey ladies 👋🏽 Ok, so I'm curious ... has anyone ever asked their dr to first try and break their water before opting for medications that induce labor? If you been following me you know I'm scheduled for an induction on Jan 12th & I'm just terrified of the thought of it. I hear the contractions are a lot worse/stronger & that the medications are intense & take a toll on ur body. I'm trying to think of more natural ways to get this prince of mine out. I was thinking of first asking for a memebrane sweep, then asking for the dr to break my water if that doesn't work. I'll be 39 and 5 the day of the induction. As scared for the induction as I am I do want to follow through with it since I have medical conditions that could cause stillbirth. I'm jus wondering if asking for them to break my water first is possible? From the stories I've heard , thats usually one of their last resorts ... jus curious why?
