How to get over your first true love?

I was just in a relationship for two years. We had our ups and downs ofcourse like every relationship does. When we  broke up,  I found out so much stuff like him lieing, cheating ect. Knowing all of it, I'd still take him back in a heart beat. I don't know even  know how to begin to move on. Any advice? I can't put myself back into an unhealthy relationship 😔

I was in 8 year relationship and very devastated. People can give you advise all day but it's up to you. I finally realized the only solution was cutting absolutely all contact and just giving myself time and understanding that I was going to be broken and sad, but one day ill be okay. It took about 10 months to start dating and now I'm married to an amazing man. It's a blessing that you will see later on. Good luck and I promise staying strong and cutting him off is the best decision you can make for yourself. You will learn a lot and one day wake up and feel okay.

Cry a lot, but shut him out. Delete his number, unfriend and block him. Then allow yourself time to be sad and cry and mourne. Then, when you're ready, start going to the gym and getting out there!! Heartbreak is the worst, but some day you'll look back on it as a learning experience. Hang in there!

You just need to distance yourself, block him on everything. 
It is important to give yourself time. This could very well take a year or more.
