Short periods..

I suffered a missed miscarriage in November and had surgery to remove the pregnancy tissue. I was told to wait for my next normal period before ttc again. My period started on 6th December and then started to try. I came on again on the 1st January. So my cycle was 27 days but.. my periods are really light since the surgery. They are only 2 to 3 days long. Is this normal?
