Anyone else from the UK just found out they're pregnant?

I found out I was pregnant this week and the earliest I could get an appointment is in 3 weeks! :/

I went and booked my first midwife appointment when I was 4 weeks and had to wait until I was 9 weeks 8 days for the appointment.

Now my dating scan/first ultrasound isn't until the 10th Feb. I'm going to be 13 weeks 4 days when I get to see my baby and check everything is okay.

All the waiting has been killing me. Fingers crossed everything is fine though.

I'm from Nottingham ☺️ I had my booking appointment this weeks (10 weeks) and my scan isn't for another 3 😤 it's so frustrating ..... But I've opted to pay for a private scan because I can't stand the wait any longer. I found this lovely little place in Leicester http://miracleinprogress.co.uk and an early scan is £59. I rang on Thursday and they booked me in for tomorrow (Saturday). I thought I'd be really excited but after  reading all these posts about missed miscarriages, I'm petrified! I think I'll be looking at the ultrasound screen through my hands 🙈 xx

In Edinburgh. I got a positive test at 5wks, midwife appointment at 8wks and my first scan is at 13wks (I'm 10wks now). Kinda shocked at the long spaces of time between appointments but what can you do, right :)

Im from South Wales and have a Drs app on Monday 2nd feb... I'm just over 5weeks at the moment so not expecting anything to move quickly! Congratulations to all you ladies!

Yeah I'm from uk to :) 1st appointment 8 weeks first scan 9 weeks second scan 12 weeks. I'm 15 weeks on fri ☺️

I'm from the uk j had my first midwife appointment at 6w4d then today I had my scan letter back and I'm now 8w1d my scan will be in 4 weeks at 12w1 day xox

I had my appointment with the midwife (at my doctors surgery) at around 6 weeks and then had my booking appointment today - 8w4d. They gave me my appointment for my scan today which will be when I'm 12w1d.

I found out at 9 weeks went to the doctor at 10 and now have to wait at least two weeks to even get a midwife... Going to be a loongg time before a scan I think... At least I will know gender from the offset.. Uk takes so long for everything seeing people uploading scan pics from 6 weeks on here is the worst

Yes I had the same. And even though I know I have to go back in week 16 I can't make appointments more than 4 weeks in advance. But once you're in the system it's easier. And having read comments on here for a few weeks, I'm glad we don't have to worry about what's covered on our insurance or having to pay for tests! I'm in London. You?

I had my first appointment at 8 weeks.  They usually do your bookin appointment (first appt) between 8 and 10 weeks x
