Whole milk before 1 year?!

What are your thoughts on milk before 1 year? My mother was bottle fed whole milk IN PLACE of breastfeeding at 3 months as my grandmother went back to work.

Whole milk doesn't contain all of the nutrients that breast milk & formula contain that babies need to the first full year of life.

My daughter has a very serious dairy allergy. Therefore we are switching her to almond milk at a year old. However, will start intruducing 3 ounces of almond milk a day; starting at 9 months (recommended by her doctor)

I started to introduce it at 11 months when I started giving my daughter a sippy cup. I didn't want her to associate 3.25% (whole) milk with her bottle like she associated formula with her bottle and I didn't want her to think just because her formula was warm the milk had to be warm too so that's why I gave it in a sippy cup and the sippy cup only.

No. You can start to introduce it around 9 months but do not replace formula/breastmilk until 1.

Not happening for us. My son has a milk allergy we're hoping he grows out of. I have him not even a 1/4 teaspoon of whip cream on xmas and he barfed the whole next day. Totally my fault. Wasn't even thinking about it when I did it.
