Housing issues!

I have shared in the past that the father of my daughter And i aren't together, i am currently living with my mom, 2 sisters and my nephew in a 3 bedroom apartment. I am sleeping in my moms room while she sleeps in the living room which breaks my heart. I dont make enough to rent an apartment. I want to get into a shelter but they wont let me bring all of my stuff with me. The father of my daughter knows all of this and obviously doesn't give a F***. He owns a 5 bedroom apartment & only occupys 2 bedrooms (himself & his father). Now my question is, should i ask him to let me and the baby stay at his place until i can get situated? I am so scared to ask him for anything because hes the biggest asshole I've ever met. The baby already has her crib, stroller, bassinet, a bunch of clothes, bottles & a lot of other things & i dont have the space to put any of her things 😓
