pump and dump ?

I'm a FTM...had my baby 12/30 I had a half of glass of pink moscato wine about 3hrs ago. This is my first pump since earlier then   I planned to pump and dump but is it really necessary???

No.its perfectly fine to use. I was told it's the same as sobering up. So an hr after finishing one drink Ur milk should be good to go.

Not at all! That's a pure waste of milk. You should be just fine. The rule of thumb is 1 hour per drink, unless it's harder stuff. But 3 hours after on glass? You're just fine

My doctor told me if I can feel the effects of the alcohol not to nurse. If you are safe to drive it's good to go! If you're still uncomfortable with it you can call your doc and see what they suggest.

Also wal mart sells strips that will let you know if your milk is okay for baby to drink.

With alcohol, you do not need to pump & dump. The amount of alcohol in your breastmilk cannot be higher than the amount in your blood. 
For example, if you had a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 (which is the legal limit for driving where I live) then your breastmilk could have up to 0.08% alcohol content. That's less alcohol than what is contained in a glass of orange juice (orange juice naturally contains up to 0.1% alcohol because there is some fermentation of sugars). This amount of alcohol in your breastmilk will not have any harmful effects on your baby, no matter how small your baby is. 
Remember, the percentage of alcohol content in your breastmilk does not equal what your baby's blood-alcohol level would be if they drink your breastmilk. It is far far far less. Just the same way that if you took a shot of 40% alcohol, your blood alcohol content is not equal to the alcohol percentage in your drink.

I heard there are many other things you can do with your breastmilk I'm a FTM and I was pumping and dumping,my friends nearly killed me! Lol they say never throw it out you can use it for baby acne etc.look on pintrest for other ways to use that milk baby girl!
