jump start labor

I know everyone asks this - but here's my story:

I'm currently 37 weeks and 4 days

I have gallstones and the pain is excruciating. In fact, I've heard from multiple people that are "gallbladder veterans" that labor will be a walk in the park compared to the pain I'm feeling.

So my doctor Has scheduled me to be induced at 39 weeks so I can get this gall bladder out sooner. Induced?! Okay, fine. I can deal with that but I really would prefer to experience that "omg my water broke!" kind of moment. (Not necessarily my water breaking, but just that excitement of "this is it!")

I know my body will go into labor when it's ready but at this point, it's worth at least trying to get it to happen naturally, right? If nothing happens, nothing happens. Oh well, I'll just be induced then. But I at least wanna try!

What are your suggestions?
