Should I get birth control?

Question

Okay so, I went to the doctors a few days ago and I got blood drawn. My doctor is testing me for PCOS. I have very irregular periods and somewhat heavy-ish periods. She said she wants to wait until the results come back to see if I want to go on birth control. She informed me that it takes about 6 months for your period to regular out. I'm just not sure if I want birth control or not. My results have not came back yet. Could you ladies tell me your experiences with birth control?

it comes a day after cuz ur body is getting used to the medicine! i recommend upping your dose and going to the doctor after ur period is delayed two days cause then your body is too used to it

I loved birth control! You just have to find the right one for you. I say that in past tense because I switched to an IUD. But I never had a bad experience with birth control. You just have to take it around the same time every day. You can easily figure out when your period is coming. My best friend has PCOS and takes birth control. She loves it and it really helps her. I'd recommend it! :)

I have pcos and being on birth control made my periods regular in just a month! I went 5 months without my period before I found out I had pcos. I highly recommend going on birth control
