A guy's perspective: Pregnancy
I couple of days ago, I was locked in conversation with one of my friends. (We're both 20 year old males) and we were talking about pregnancy. At which point he told me he found pregnant women disgusting (a comment which I found disgusting) but it got me thinking how many guys feel the same. Or at least how many women think we do...
Being a guy myself, I feel that a woman is at her most beautiful when she is carrying the product of a union between two lovers. You're literally carrying someone's legacy.
I feel the ultimate end goal in life is to have kids, and while I haven't been blessed with children yet, there's no doubt in my mind that I want them.
I know that women often feel unattractive amongst the sickness and swollen ankles that come with pregnancy, but take it from a guy himself: you're quite literally the most beautiful a woman can be. You've got a life inside of you that you will one days be responsible for introducing to the world... how could that ever be 'disgusting'.
There are scores of women who either struggle or are simply unable to conceive. So doesn't that add merit to just how magical a thing it is? My heart goes out to women who can't conceive and I really apologise for the poor cards life handed you :(
