Mother-in-law's comments
So my husband, daughter (3 months) & I love about 15 min (or less) away from my in-laws & 8 hours away from my side of the family. For the past few months we've enjoyed being able to spend the holidays with both sides of our families. For New Years we drove to where my side of the family is from. A week before our trip we were having dinner with my in-laws. My mil was playing with my daughter asking if she could come along with us for the trip. And then she started speaking for my baby saying that as much as my daughter is going to San Diego (where my side of the family lives) that my daughter actually likes San Francisco (where my in laws are) better. Don't know why this bothers me... she also low key tries to compete with my mom saying that she smiles at her more.
In actuality my daughter smiles at my parents more & maybe even more than she smiles at me. It doesn't bother me one bit because it's the truth. What bothers me is when my mil makes it seem like my daughter favors her over everyone else. Not sure why she does this...anyone's mil do this too?
