For those in early pregnancy:
When you go to your first ultrasound appt, WHILE the tech is still inside (you) ask what side your placenta is on. THIS is the most accurate way to tell what the gender will be. Once they have given you the ultrasound pictures to take home you have no idea what side it's on or if the image has been flipped. Ask what side it's on according to your actual body not on the screen or in the picture.
