what is unsafe and why?

My brain is whizzing tonight 😂 another question.

What is unsafe for babies? Cot bumpers are cute but I recently heard why they are so dangerous it's freaked the hell out of me!!!! Just want any information of things that are a no no I wouldn't have known about the bumpers if it wasn't for this app! Any friendly knowledge will help.

Question about this...I'm seeing mesh "bumpers" now that seem to be just to make sure the baby doesn't get any arms or legs stuck in crib rails...are these safe?

I would recommend the Mayo Clinic book. Second time mom and still found it helpful.

Bumpers aren't considered safe, however I still have them on my crib. But you can bet it's just for looks, once baby gets here they're going down. It increases the chance of suffocation if they start moving around.
