Does anyone know if I will be able to wear my belly ring retainer for my gallbladder surgery??

I just really don't want to lose my piercing. I've had it for almost 3 years now. And now I have to have gallbladder surgery for some reason.

When I had mine I had to take off all of my jewelry and make up, even nail polish

I just had mine out in July. You cannot wear any belly jewelry what so ever. They will actually make a small incision either just above or just below your belly button. Mine kinda goes inside my belly button.

I you cannot at all.  This is my belly button after the same surgery you're getting. The top crease is a scar from where they made an incision. Right where your piercing would be

I had to take mine out for a few weeks. Luckily they made an incision under my belly button. You can ask your surgeon if they know where they'll be making an incision so you know ahead of time.

You're not supposed to wear any piercing during surgery as far as I'm aware 
But you'll be able to put it in afterwards and it won't have healed that quickly
