Nexplanon / period

Hi my name is meghan. I have had nexplanon for almost a year now and my period has never ended since I've gotten it. My period has been very light and now all of a sudden its gotten heavier. I have been bleeding for more than 8 months now. I don't know if I should get the implant removed or push through the never ending period. This is one of the only problems I've had with nexplanon besides the mood swings. I really don't know what to do.
