Tattoos for sensitive skin

I really want a tattoo in remembrance of all my angel babies. However, I have sensitive skin. I can only use unscented laundry detergent (but 99% of lotions and perfumes don't bother me) and some metals in jewelry cause my skin to react. Is it unwise for me to get this tattoo? I've been told not all patch tests are reliable. I would like it in black ink for now; I'll possibly add colors later. This is something I very much want, but I don't want to end up having to get it removed later.
