At what age do you think parents should let their children "go"?

As in treating them like an adult and letting them take responsibility for themselves? Like dating, doctor's appointments, jobs, etc. I'd say 18. What's your opinions?

Gosh I'm 21 (in a month), work, college, boyfriend... still fighting with my mom when she doesn't let me go out of house without a scarf...

When the child is capable. That's why you teach it early on so they know how to care for themselves. I'm still learning and I'm gonna be 19 in a month.

Whenever you're able to support your self both financially as well as mature enough to take care of yourself physically. Parents (in most cases) only want what's best for you. Knowing that their child is going to severely struggle financially or physically because of a lack of their care is a huge motivator to continue to take care of them in those ways, I'd assume. I don't have kids of my own, but I recently just turned 23 and took on the aforementioned responsibilities. My parents happily cut me loose haha.

i mean it depends. i think at 16 kids should have a job and build a good work ethic but should they be moving out? probably not. it's a difficult question to answer

16 , or they gone sneak and do it anyway. just gotta gone ahead and have "the talk" with them & let them face the consequences to whatever happens after that
