Cloth diapers
So my son is 2 months old. We use Alva cloth diapers with microfiber inserts. I adore them. But have one issue. Leaking. If I change his diaper every hour to hour and a half they don't leak. Any more than that and they leak from what I can assume is over saturation. We've resorted to using disposables at night because it was so bad and using double inserts during the day because I'm not waking him up to change him.
Has anyone else had this issue? Have you tried using bamboo or hemo inserts instead with any better luck? Or do I just have a very heavy wetter that requires double inserts during the day and disposables at night? Lol.
They have been washed many many times. I've tried loosening them thinking it was compression leaks. Make sure he is pointed down. Make sure the diaper sits right on his now chubby thighs. None of this works. :/
Only thing I found to work (minus getting new inserts) is doubling them but that doesn't work now that he sleeps 4 to 6 hour stretches at night. We don't use fabric softener at all. We use Arm and Hammer detergent free of dyes and fragrances (which is what my cousin used when she did cloth diapers, though she had different diapers). Any help would be appreciated.
