update- 5 year old with bloody stools.
We took our daughter to the doctor this morning. While there the doctor did a visual and physical rectum exam (to check for hemorrhoids), it was not only traumatic for her but also for me to have to see her go through that.
We was sent home with things to take samples of her stools. The doctor brought up a possible infection called C. Diff. But also brought up other possibilities!
From there we went for a X-Ray of her tummy to see how full of stool she was. Unfortunately, her poor belly is so full of not only stool but gas! It's literally all the way up towards her lung, underneath her ribs. 😕
We will now be giving her MiraLAX and gas relief medicine for the next 3 days twice a day. We go back in a week for a follow up and if she is still full we may be expecting surgery. 😳

EDIT: just wanted to add incase someone wanted to ask, the blood was a bright enough red and was enough to definitely catch my attention! It wasn't just streaks! Her poo also smelled like death! 😖
