Hey ladies! So due to insurance complications, I stopped taking birth control about a month ago! So I just had my first period off the pill and it was "unusual". I drank lots of hibiscus tea, and instead of diluting it, I drank it pure. Now for those of you that don't know, hibiscus tea is great for lowering blood pressure but it's known to cause women to have heavy periods. (Which is why it is adviced for pregnant women  to not drink it because it may cause them to have a miscarriage) anyways my period was SO heavy. I blame the tea and also being off the pill!!! I went through super absorbent tampons like crazy and I passed clots like there was no tomorrow.. And I even leaked a few times. I had to take pamprin and I usually never have to take pain killers. I havr never had a period this heavy or painful. My periods are usually light and last about four days. This lasted for about 2 and a half days. I had terrible cramps and stayed in bed all day. Now, there's not one drop of blood on my pantiliner. Has anyone experienced this? Also I don't think there's a way for me to be pregnant, I haven't had sex since Christmas Day.. Also, I don't think it was implantation bleeding because I bled a lot and (tmi) it was very dark in color.
