Any Moms here with Crohns/UC/Fap? Ostomy or Jpouch?

I know it's a long shot... Just hoping to find someone like me that might have a little insight into pregnancy life with intestinal issues.

Hi ladies! I know this is a pretty old post but I'm reaching out to other women with J-Pouches! Been TTC for a couple months, reading blogs and posts about conceiving after a total colectomy. Has anyone had an HSG test or been to a fertility specialist? It's still early for me and my husband but I am debating seeking out a doc early to save myself from some heartbreak during every TWW. I've been in remission for almost 15 years (that's when I had my surgery)- just looking for any advice or stories from other UC patients! Baby dust to all!

I'm also looking for someone! I had UC but now have a jpouch. I'm not yet pregnant. 17 months ttc. I've been advised scarring may be what's stopping us. I'm having a HSG this coming Monday.

Are you pregnant? Did you have any problems getting pregnant? Xx

I was diagnosed with IBD/UC 11 years ago. This is my 3rd pregnancy and have not had any flares up like I was told I was. Most of my symptoms actually got better during pregnancy except I'm still pretty gassy lol

Not personally but a,friends of mine had a successful pregnancy with Crohns & a colostomy! I'm sure you will find plenty of women in a similar situation.....good luck xx

I have a Jpouch... Which is something really common with ladies that have Crohn's and UC... I'm hoping to find someone else like me to compare pregnancy notes with :)
