Changing Table?

Question

What are people's thoughts on a changing table, new and previous mommys. I honestly don't plan on using on since I don't feel confident with using one, I was planning on changing diapers on the floor or the bed. I need some advice?

We secured a pad to the top of her dresser.  It's great!  Still using it daily and she's almost a year.  Changing on the floor sucks when you are recovering or have a squirmy baby.  If she has an accident on the pad it is super easy to clean as well.

We have one and I use it for every diaper change. I'm not a fan of diaper supplies all over the house and I don't want to risk getting that mess on couches or beds

At first I thought I didn't need one due to people saying it was useless and a waste of money...and I suppose I still don't NEED one, but let's just say I'm unbelievably grateful for it.

This forward facing changing table is what turned me. I love the way it looks, saves space, keeps baby facing me, and has open storage so I don't need to fumble with drawers and cabinets. It was affordable, imo.($60)

We put a changing pad on top of a dresser we already had and use in the nursery. We didn't have room for another piece of furniture. I like having everything in one spot and the diaper genie nearby.

I love my changing table, I use it every day without fail. My son always seems to instantly settle when I put him on there. I also stack tons of baby things in the compartment underneath, store the baby bath there too and a few of my makeup and cosmetics lol, so its good for storage too.

I would be lost with out it. I like having everything in one place and not having to carry supplies back and fourth. You could always put a changing pad on top of a dresser if you have the room.

I used it for the first few weeks and we haven't used it since. The floor is just easier. Now it's in his closet and used to store things in. We may use it again when we have another depending on how we do another nursery, but I'm guessing at best we will put the pad on our bathroom counter to use after bath time.

I was planning on not using one or getting one then my parents bought our big ticket item which was a beautiful white crib but my mother got the one that came with a changing table attached to it and I'm in love!!!! I'm so thankful I got it and it's so handy!! It's so easy to change my LO! And it's easy clean up if she has a blowout or decides she isnt done doing the biz haha I say get one!

We have a changing pad on top of the counter in the bathroom. I feel like the bathroom is where I want her peeing and pooping (not the bed or the floor).

So like many, we just did a changing pad on top of my daughter' dresser, BUT I do have a suggestion. My best friend had a changing table in her living room so she didn't haven't to change the baby on the floor or go all the way upstairs to change the baby. I thought this was genius. We bought a cheap one from IKEA & yep, GENUIS!! I highly suggest getting a changing table for your downstairs (if you live in a 2-story).
