Stupid phone signal

You'd honestly think today with all the technology there is that phone signals would be better but no the snow has started as it's immediately effected the phone signals. I hate being on my own in this house as it is with our neighbours upstairs an it's worse knowing I can't get hold of anybody. My husband will cycling home about midnights tonight and with how icy and snowy the roads are I'm bricking it that no one will be able to get hold of me. Sorry for the rant but I can't do it to anyone else.
