Babies have their own natural schedule. You can adjust it once they have a schedule going and tweak it here and there. My daughter wakes at 7/730am, has breakfast, we take my son to school for 9, we get back about 930, she goes for a np by 10, wakes around 1, has lunch, then we get my son at 3, she naps again at 4 until 530, then we have dinner at 6/630, and she goes to bed by 9. She set that schedule up not me but it works for me haha.

My baby was in the NICU for 7 weeks and by the time we brought her home she was very accustomed to their every 3 hours schedule. Of course I would feed her anytime she is showing hunger cues, but she really seems to do well on the every 3 hours during the day. She starts rooting and getting fussy right on time.
