Just received a text from my mom! My step dads heart rhythm returned back to normal on it's on, an hour before his procedure was supposed to start! Nothing but God! Thanks to everyone for the prayers!

Totally off topic, but still very important! My step dad was admitted into to hospital yesterday. For about 2 months now, he's had really bad swelling in his legs & feet, & a bad hacking cough. He went to the doctor & was diagnosed with diabetes. This way about 2 weeks ago. Yesterday, he had an appointment with a doctor to have an ultrasound done on his legs. While there, they heard his cough & decided to send him downstairs to the cardiologist. The doctors was thinking that he could be suffering from congestive heart failure. After an ultrasound, ekg & a few other tests, it was confirmed that he has Atrial Defibrillation. He was immediately sent to the hospital & shortly after, was taken to ICU because his heart rate was 189 & they couldn't get it under control. Finally they got it down. His blood platelets are 89,000 & should be 400,000. Tomorrow they will be doing a procedure on him. He will be put to sleep & his heart will be shocked to hopefully allow it to go back to its normal rhythm. A very scary procedure. I ask that everyone say a prayer for him & also, a prayer for my mom, as she is dealing with all this.
